4 things I’m trying to get better at

Every so often, I like to sit back and take stock of my life. I like to look at what’s going well, what’s not going so great and what I want to do better. I think self-improvement can be a really healthy thing. So without further ado, here’s what I’m trying to get better at.  View Post

The low down: April 2018

This week, I’ve decided to try a little something new. Meet ‘the low down’, which is essentially a mash-up of favourites and a monthly diary. I’m always finding that there are odd little bits I want to talk about but simply don’t warrant a whole blog post. Dining at The Ivy Brasserie Cambridge

Nearly three years ago, I started Musings & More. My very first post was about our visit to The Ivy Chelsea Garden for Matt’s birthday. I took the photos on my phone and bashed out a post without any real thought. Last weekend, we were invited for an all inclusive meal at The Ivy Cambridge Brasserie and to provide a review after its recent opening.  Funny how things turn out eh?

The importance of individuality in blogging

For a couple of months now, a certain subject has been brewing in my mind, one that I wasn’t sure that I should leave firmly there in my mind or one I should, y’know, have a chat about on Musings & More. But here we are.

There are 2 million blog posts written daily. I’m sure I don’t need to tell you how the blogging world is bloody massive and how easy it is to feel like a small fish in a big pond. There is one thing that I think is crucially important in all this though. Whether you’re a brand-spankin’ new blogger or one who’s been doing this for a good while now. And that, my friends – wait for the trumpets – is to be yourself. Yep, it’s as simple (and hella corny) as that.
