If chocolate isn’t one of the first things you think about when it comes to Easter, you’re completely fibbing! That said, not everyone is as big a fan of chocolate as I (the horror!), so when the Biscuiteers got in touch and asked if they could send me something from their Easter range, I was intrigued to find out if they could give me the same satisfaction as a good old hunk of chocolate does.
My initial impression when I received the Easter Party Luxe Biscuit Tin was to admire the gorgeous packaging the biscuits came in. In fact, the first thing I did was to ooooh and ahhh and think about how I could reuse it! What can I say, I’m just that kinda gal!
In this particular tin, you get 16 adorable hand-decorated biscuits in the shape of eggs, bunnies and ducks. The minute decoration on each biscuit is so impressive and it makes the gift feel even more special that you know it’s been decorated by hand. To be perfectly honest, it felt wrong even eating the biscuits as they are just so pretty! I actually took the biscuits round to my mum’s house to share with my family and they were all delighted.
Once we got over the initial admiration (you don’t get that with a hob nob!), we popped the kettle on and tucked into the biscuits. As bad as I felt to bite off the poor bunny’s head, it was completely worth it as the vanilla biscuit was one of the best we’d all tasted. I’d wondered if they’d be overly sweet and sickly as the biscuit is generously iced but it was just the right amount of sweetness and worked with the crunch of the biscuit perfectly. As my mum concluded: “Perfect with a cuppa!”
I truly believe a lovely, yummy tin from Biscuiteers would please most people and the website makes it really easy to put in an order and surprise someone with the option to personalise too. They cover so many occasions including birthdays, baby showers, weddings or even if you just want to say thank you or send your sympathy. I’m definitely eyeing up the Super Hero collection – Matt would love this Batman biscuit box.
The biscuits will last for three months in the tin but let’s be honest – they aren’t going to last that long!
