I’m sure your first thought was the same as mine. That’s a lot! And it is. But the important thing to remember is that you don’t use all of the products. You just evaluate your needs and what you want from your brows. And that’s why having a consultation at a Benefit counter is so useful, as I found out for myself.
I hate myself for not remembering her name, but upon arriving at my consultation, the lovely lady from Benefit whipped out a colour match chart and rather than deciding for me straight away, she let me look in the mirror with the chart against my eyebrows and we discussed what we both thought was a good match. This then allowed us to know exactly what colour we would need in the products for my brows, I ended up shade number 4 (there are six shades).
Ka-BROW is a cream-gel colour which helps to fill, sculpt and define your brows. You simply remove the cap and pull out the really helpful built in brush. It’s hard-angled too which helps a lot with application. This is probably my favourite looking packaging of all, I really think it would look great on any dressing table!
Brow Zings will be known by a lot of you already but it’s now new and improved with matching packaging to the rest of the collection. you get a powder and wax duo as well as a dual-sided extendable applicator and mini tweezers. This is such a brilliant, handbag friendly compact which is something I always really enjoy in a product. The wax is really soft and lovely to work with while I love having the setting powder to finish off the job. I left the Benefit counter a whole lot more educated on my brows and actually excited about how I could make them look.
Oh NYX. You have firmly settled yourself as a blogger favourite thanks to your high quality products and brilliantly low prices. And I adore you. Except, you didn’t half make it difficult to get hold of did you? But now I need not worry as a brand new stand has made it’s way into my local Boots at Queensgate Peterborough and it’s a seriously good one. You only had to take a look at social media to work out how excited everyone in Peterborough was about there finally being a NYX
to spend lots of money at.
As you can see, the stand is gorgeous! I think it’s really impressive considering we’re only in Peterborough, not in London! It’s definitely going to be one of the most popular stands in Boots!
I thought it would be nice to show you what I purchased from NYX. I’m really impressed with the prices from NYX, myself and the other QBlogger girls picked up quite a lot for not very much money and these are products that would have potentially be priced at higher prices, should they be under another brand. I picked up Round lipstick in Milan and Paparazzi. I have to say there are so many shades in this range, there is literally a handful of options for everyone which I really like as there is nothing worse when you have about six colour options! I was surprised by the sheerness of it at first but then this allows you the choice of building up. Of course, I couldn’t leave without picking up a couple of the popular Soft Matte lip creams in San Paulo and Prague. These are definitely worth the fuss! Neither a lip gloss or a lipstick, these sit nicely in the middle and while they apply glossy, they set quickly to a beautiful matte. They don’t dry out your lips and last a long time so I’ve found myself constantly reaching for these on a work day.
