No longer can you tell me it’s too early for Christmas. You can’t switch on the TV without their being adverts luring you with food you can’t wait to fill up on or products you’ve scrawled on your Christmas list. While it’s only recently I’ve been feeling fully Christmassy, I’ve been keeping my eye out for anything worth nabbing and storing away ready for December and now I’m ready to show you my little collection!
Yankee Candle Christmas set
We all know about my love affair with Yankee Candle. I will often have battles with my boyfriend whenever I’ve got my eye on a new one and he’ll point out my already vast amount. However nothing (or rather no one – sorry Matt!) was going to stop me from getting this brilliant Christmas wax set. My plan is to light one every night, the twelve days before Christmas! I also think it’s a really get way to test a lot of different smells and work out which is your favourite, should you ever want to buy the big version. I find that occasionally, the smell when the candle is lit can be a lot different to when you just give it a good sniff in the shops. I adore the packaging these tarts came in, it’s so Christmassy with lots of glitter! The candles included in this set include Red Apple Wreath, Angle Wings, Winter Glow, Berry Trifle, Christmas Eve and many more!
I’ll be honest, I never really bother about earrings. My mission is to simply find studs that don’t fall out when I sleep! But these Christmas themed earrings were too hard to resist. And for only £2? I wouldn’t mind if they did fall out as I’d just pick another pair! I think my favourite ones have to be the little reindeers and the candy canes! I think Christmas is a great excuse to get a bit silly too. I’d love to be the type that properly glams up for Christmas Day, but I feel much more comfortable in a Christmas jumper that allows me plenty of room to stuff my face!
That leads me nicely on to my next purchase. You might have seen in a previous blog post here, that I mentioned I’d given fake nails a try. I was really impressed how quickly they were to put on and how resilient they were with daily tasks. As part of a three for two at Boots, I picked these incredible House of Holland nails up. I haven’t decided if I’ll be wearing these on the day itself or simply leading up to it, but I think they are brilliant! Good thing I’m not cooking though eh?
Now I’ve tried to make gingerbread houses from scratch before and they’ve just gone completely wrong. A lot of the time, the pieces are too big and just don’t slot together. So I figured buying this pre-made house from Ikea (for only £2.45 too!) will make my life a lot easier. And doesn’t it look cute? I’ll make sure to update you how this one and to those of you can make one without any help, I salut you!
Doggie Mince Pies + Dog Scarf
Now these next two presents were before we got Luna and are actually for my family dog, Alfie. BHS have a great range of pet bits for Christmas and I’ll definitely be going back for Luna but for now – how cute is this scarf?? They come in one size and secure simply with a bit of velcro. I like that it’s not too obtrusive so older dogs like Alfie will (hopefully) like it a bit more. These doggy mince pies are a great way for your pooch to feel part of the foody fun and contain no harmful ingredients. I love how authentic these look and I’m a huge believer that a pet is part of the family so this is the perfect way to treat your beloved pet!
I really love the variety of bits I’ve managed to pick up so far for Christmas and I can’t wait to get some more, especially with it being our first Christmas in our home and with Luna.
