TRAVEL: The Cheesecake Factory!

There was no doubt in my mind where I wanted to visit food-wise whilst we were in Orlando. I'd been wanting to go to The Cheesecake Factory for ages and was pleased to find there was one close to where we were staying.

Now, the first time we dropped in was after a shopping session. We didn't stand a chance. It was full of people waiting to have a seat and after a day on our feet, none of us felt up for joining the long queue, as tempting as it was! So we decided to head there the next day, arriving at 10am - which sounds crazy I know, but come on, cheesecake!

The place itself was really lovely and not what I expected, it was very elegant and ornate and the ceilings were beautifully detailed. The menu itself was full of choices and not even just cheesecake. There were plenty of options for breakfast and lunch but naturally we skipped straight to the cheesecake for which there was so much to choose from! So many flavours from fruit to caramel, peanut butter to vanilla, even lower calorie options. I genuinely struggled with what to choose and had to ask the waitress to come back on two different occasions!

I finally settled on the Oreo Dream Extreme Cheesecake which was 'Creamy cheesecake layered with Oreo cookies, topped with Oreo cookie mousse and chocolate icing.' I tell you, at no point did I regret my choice, secretly I think I picked the best! I instantly whipped my camera out because it was scrumptious to just look at, let alone eat! But when I did finally dig in my spoon, my mouth was filled with the most incredible taste sensation of soft and sweet, creamy and crunchy.

The rest of my family chose different options so we'd all be able to taste each others cakes so we all got a really good range of what the Cheesecake Factory had to offer. Matt went for the Chocolate Mousse Cheesecake, my sister chose the Dulce de Leche caramel Cheesecake and my Dad decided to go a bit different and picked the Chocolate Tower Truffle cake which was a huge mound of fudge cake with layers of truffle cream and chocolate mousse. Having tried each, I can confirm they were all incredible in their own way.

While I admit they are quite sickly to eat, they really are delicious and we all powered through as best we could though they are very generous sizes. My Dad was the only one to finish but you are able to take the rest home with you which is a bonus as you really do want to make the most of them and why not prolong the experience?

If you are near a Cheesecake Factory ever you must go. It's a great experience and the dessert makes it so worth it, you won't regret it, I promise! What cheesecake would you choose?

  7. THEY DEFINITELY HAVE THE BEST CHEESECAKES. Some people legit go there just for the cheesecakes and not the actual food items, so I don't blame you!

  8. Gah, as a fellow sweet tooth you know how happy this makes me! Haha. About 2 years ago we were in Dubai and saw a Cheescake Factory, and because I had seen and heard about it so much in American TV shows :P we wanted to go immediately! I was also so, so surprised by how fancy it was, never expected that! It's kinda bad that I can't remember which ones I tasted (because my family and I grabbed lots of different ones as well, more opportunities to taste :D) - but, DEAR GOD - THAT OREO ONE looks incredible, a bit biased coming from me though because I love anything that's cookies and cream haha.

Loving these travel posts so much, can't wait for the upcoming ones! :)

  9. Luckily, I am not a fan of cheesecake so I could the resist the temptation :) If it was just a cake factory on the other hand, that would be a totally different story!! :) xx

  11. If there's one pastry I had to choose to eat for the rest of my life, it definitely would be cheesecake! I can imagine the amount of tasting you had to go through and it does sound a bit sickly, but who cares when you've got such incredible food in front of you? Haha, lovely post, Emily!

  15. Holy hell, those cheesecakes look insanely tasty! I don't blame you for planning ahead to visit here - it looks amazing! Ah, you've reminded me of the cinnabon (spelling?) I charged towards at Disneyworld as soon as I left the hotel. I'd seen them online beforehand and was determined to eat as many as possible during my stay! ;)

  18. Cheesecake Factory does have some scrumptious dessert! Their factory chocolate cake and strawberry shortcake is pretty awesome too. I remember the first time I went to one in Chicago 15 years ago - it was a new, cool experience.

  33. I love the Cheesecake Factory! The milkshakes are amazing too. I had the red velvet cheesecake when I went earlier this year and it was wonderful but there was so much of it I couldn't finish it all. I also love the brown bread they put on the table when you arrive. Well worth a trip back to America just for that alone! xx
