September Favourites

This September favourites is a bit of a holiday-special one, as for most of the month I was out of the country sunning myself! This also meant I had access to a lot more amazing items that I wouldn’t normally and found a lot of exciting new things! Take a look below to find out what I’ve been loving lately.

CHIP MUG:

I have this really odd thing about quirky things to drink out of, whether that be glasses or mugs. I was specifically banned by Matt from buying any more. However, I ended up buying three! One of which was this wonderful mug from Disneyland Florida. Do you recognise this little fella? Yep, it’s Chip from Beauty & the Beast! I wanted something from Disney to take home as a little memento and this was perfect, something I would actually use and that would make me smile every time I saw it!

LINDT LINDOR BALLS

Being a major chocoholic, I was drawn to the Lindt shop in Florida like a magnet, dragging my boyfriend behind me as I went. Sure, you can get Lindt chocolates in England, but this was a whole shop! Not only that, but it was all much cheaper too! We noticed they had an Labour Day offer on where you could choose 100 of any of the Lindor balls for something like $30 which I don’t think was too bad! (Or perhaps I’m lying to myself…) I had great fun running around the shop, scooping up dozens of all the different flavours of which we didn’t have back home. Peanut Butter, Almond, Coconut, Sea Salt, Vanilla…so many choices! I’ve been dipping into the bag every day since I got these and it’s a lovely little treat, especially as I can never remember which flavour is which!

MAC SKIN BASE VISAGE:

When I popped into MAC and the artist was painting some new foundation (more on that soon!) onto me, I also noticed that she used the MAC Prep + Prime Skin Base Visage primer and I noticed such a difference with how my make up looked and felt. It glided easily onto my skin and set incredibly well, helping my face look smooth and flawless once foundation was used. Hours later, my make up was still in place, so a few days later I went back and picked up the primer and have used it ever since! I used to use Benefit’s Porefessional but in my opinion I have much more success with MAC and I prefer the way it feels almost like a moisturiser. I would definitely recommend and can’t believe this my first Prep + Prime product!

SNORKELLING:

This isn’t an actual item but I couldn’t not include it after this month! I always wanted to be a mermaid when I was younger and this was the next best thing. I only learnt how to snorkel last year in Egypt and it took me a long time to get the breathing right as it felt like such an alien concept to me. But I finally got the hang of it and enjoyed it so much that I couldn’t not do it when in the Bahamas too! It’s so wonderful to be able to glide along the ocean, peering down into the depths below, watching a completely other world go by. If you have any worries or thoughts they completely disappear when you are in the water as you are totally swallowed up by it. If you’ve never tried snorkelling before, you really must, it is one hell of an experience.

TRAVEL:

I have been fortunate enough to go to two wonderful countries this month and it’s really reminded me how vast the world is and just how much I want to see of it. I have a massive list of places I want to visit and it excites me just thinking about the experiences that I hope to have in my lifestyle. I’m not even necessarily talking about foreign countries as there is so much on our own doorstep to enjoy. I really do think travel broadens your horizons and helps you think a little differently about life, about how short it is and about what really matters. I will leave you with this quote by Mary Ritter Beard: Certainly, travel is more than the seeing of sights; it is a change that goes on, deep and permanent, in the ideas of living.”

I hope you enjoyed this slightly different favourites, I’d love to know what you’ve been enjoying lately? And where is next on your travel list?
